My Story.
My background is rooted in preservation, technology, and visual storytelling. My journey began in the 1980s with a gift from my mother: a professional 35mm film camera. That spark led to two years of formal photography study and a role as a photojournalist for the Michigan Army National Guard, followed by years of capturing weddings and portraits.
In the 90s, while studying Urban Planning and Historic Preservation at MSU, I launched a side hustle that spanned a decade. During this time, I wrote many articles, laid out magazines, and built early websites, merging my eye for visual design with the emerging digital landscape.
Today, after a decade of refinement and a transition into retirement, I have focused these roots into Photo Preservation to ensure fragile memories and digital legacies are meticulously archived for the future.

We utilize high-resolution Epson and HP scanners to digitize prints up to 8x10 at professional standards of 600 or 1200 dpi. For oversized memorabilia, fragile scrapbooks, or larger-than-standard images, we employ a precision camera-scanning station. Using an 18mp digital system on a dedicated copy stand, we capture every detail of your delicate collections without risking damage.
